Chief Accountant

Job duties:

Ukraine tax accounting.
Prepare and submit tax reports.
Stay abreast of developments in tax laws and regulations.
Advise company managers how to optimize tax payments while complying with the spirit and letter of the law.
Check contracts, invoices, acts, and other company financial and legal documents for compliance with Ukraine tax law.
Ensure correctness of accounting entries in 1C.
Manage deputy accountants.

Personal characteristics:

Flexibility in the face of changing job requirements.
Willing to take on new tasks, perform research as needed, and train colleagues as needed.
Able to manage and motivate deputies.
Team player able to work outside of finance realm with all employees.
Detail-oriented.

Skills and knowledge:

University diploma in accounting, finance, or business. Master's degree preferred.
Experience in a similar role for at least 2 years, preferably managing other accountants.
Strong spoken English and decent written English.
Native Ukrainian and Russian language skills.
Experience using 1C accounting software. Other accounting software (SAP, Oracle, Peachtree, QuickBooks, etc.) a plus.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook e-mail; Internet).
CAP-CIPA certification preferred.
